The death
of T. W. Stewart, father of Mrs. J. H. Ambler, occurred at 9:10 p.m. yesterday
at his residence 301 Sixth West. Mr. Stewart was one of the oldest residents of
our town, being born in the year 1820. He came to Hutchinson six years ago from
Kentucky. Three years ago he united with the First Avenue Baptist Church of
this town, and since that time has been a consistent, honored member of that
body. He was a man who by his general walk in life won respect and confidence
of all whom he met. In the death of Mr. Stewart the town has loss a loyal
citizen and an upright man. The funeral services will be held from the house at
2 p.m. on Saturday August 19th.
