Mrs. Asher Dead
A. E. Asher’s Mother, Passes away at
7 o’clock this Morning.
Mrs. Martha
L. Asher, wife of Milton Asher, died at 7 o’clock this morning from the effects
of a stroke of paralysis received on Friday last. Since Friday she had been
gradually sinking and all efforts failed to revive her. Mrs. Asher was 63 years
of age. She was born in Kentucky and moved with her husband to Kansas in April
of 1885, locating in Stafford County. Last year they moved to this city making
their home with their son, A. E. Asher of the St. John Trust Company. Mrs.
Asher was an earnest Christian woman and since girlhood had been a member of
the Christian Church.
The funeral services will be held from the residence
at 620 Sherman Street East, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Aten, pastor
of the First Christian Church, will conduct the services.
