Mrs.
Julia V. Magers, of Lincoln Township, dropped dead this noon at her home 11
miles southeast of South Hutchinson while on her way to the dinner table. She
had been suffering for some time with rheumatism, and it is thought her heart
was affected by the disease. The death was very sudden and unexpected, and
leaves a once happy family in mourning. Mrs. Magers was one of the most beloved
women in Reno County, a kind and gentle mother and a friend to everyone. She
came to Kansas from the East with her husband in 1880 and settled in Lincoln
Township, where they have since lived. Her husband and four children survive
her. Three of the latter, Mrs. Chas Wainner, Doll K. and Darrin reside in this
county. The fourth Mrs. G. B. Thomson lives in Detroit, Michigan. The deceased
was 49 years of age at her death. The funeral arrangements have not yet been
made.
