The
critical condition of Mrs. Dr. Maguire was learned with the deepest regret
yesterday by her friends all over the city. As a last resort several physicians
were called in yesterday afternoon for a final consultation and a very
difficult surgical operation was decided upon as the only hope. Mrs. Maguire
submitted to the operation yesterday evening. Up to 3 o’clock this afternoon
the friends who have anxiously inquired after her during the day had not been
given a hopeful report.

News goes to press the word is phoned to the offices that Mrs. Maguire had died.
