Last
night at about 11 o’clock Susan Goately, who lived with her parents east of
town, died after about an hour’s illness. Her death is very mysterious as she
had been in good health a few moments before being found unconscious and in a
violent convulsion.
Yesterday
evening she ate a very hearty supper and was all right at bed time. Soon after
she had retired for the night her mother heard a struggle in the girl’s room
and, going in found her in violent convulsion. A doctor was summoned and arrived
a short time before the girl’s death. She did not regain consciousness before
dying and the cause of her sudden death has not been discovered.
